Our computerized inspection report gives the water network manager a summarized list of the fire hydrant deficiencies by priority.

The fire hydrants found under priorities 1 to 4 are inoperative or have a deficiency that can make them inoperative. If the fire hydrants are listed in the priorities 1 to 4, we provide our customer with a proposal for the restoration of the upper or interior mechanism.

Priority 1

Hydrant requiring immediate restoration.

Priority 2

Hydrant requiring urgent restoration.

Priority 3

Item requiring urgent replacement.

Priority 4

Hydrant requiring intervention before frost.

Complete restoration of the upper mechanism

  • Upper mechanism dismantling.

  • Oxidized parts cleaning.

  • Replacement of o-rings, gaskets and packing.

  • Replacement of defective parts.

  • Lubrication of parts with non-toxic grease.

Complete restoration of the interior mechanism

  • Upper and interior mechanism dismantling.

  • Oxidized parts cleaning.

  • Replacement of o-rings, gaskets, packing and main valve gasket.

  • Replacement of defective parts.

  • Lubrication of parts with non-toxic grease.

  • Drain closing (if required).
